Five ventures. Five paths from research and incubation to products, recognition and public impact.

Where technology finds its next chapter.

Five ventures · One ecosystem

When research meets the right support, impact leaves the lab.

These stories span agriculture, artificial intelligence, accessibility, personal care and autonomous systems—different technologies connected by the same ambition to solve real problems.

01Agritech

More time for every harvest.

Fruvetech is rethinking how fresh produce is stored after harvest.

Founded in Delhi in 2021 by Dr Jagadis Gupta Kapuganti and Aprajita Kumari, the FITT-incubated venture is developing a device designed to enhance the shelf life of fruits.

Its fruit and vegetable storage systems use an energy-efficient approach that can be adjusted to different produce, operating needs and conditions.

03Inclusive Mobility

A clearer path onto public transport.

OnBoard helps visually impaired passengers identify and board public buses.

Raised Lines Foundation, Continental and IIT Delhi came together to deploy the assistive technology. The non-profit technology startup is incubated at FITT, IIT Delhi and supported by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.

Development of OnBoard was sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India—bringing research, industry and public purpose into one collaboration.

04Sustainable Personal Care

Personal care with water designed out.

Clensta began in 2016 with a simple, ambitious question: how much water can everyday care do without?

Built in scientific collaboration with IIT Delhi, the company pioneered a waterless category before expanding across personal care, home, health and hygiene. At the time of this FITT profile, it reported more than five technologies, 21 patent filings and 28 products.

05Autonomous Systems

One thousand drones. One operator. One defining night.

At the 2022 Beating Retreat, BotLab Dynamics turned home-grown drone swarm technology into a national-scale spectacle.

Founded in 2016 by two IIT Delhi Engineering Physics alumni, BotLab built the hardware and software required to fly hundreds of drones simultaneously under a single user's control—developed in-house at IIT Delhi.

On 29 January 2022, the team flew 1,000 drones from Rashtrapati Bhavan. It went on to commercialise its light-show capability across India and in Djibouti, while also applying the technology to defence.

Customers Event and gaming companies, sports organisers, ministries and international public institutions.
